Sub-par Spaghetti Carbonara, with "homemade" breadsticks

Carbonara is my specialty, but this batch was disappointing.  I actually prefer to make it with rotini, but I used whole wheat spaghetti today.  It came out dry because I accidentally used more than a pound of spaghetti. 

The breadsticks, made of store-bought pizza dough with some finishing touches (those are caraway seeds), were so good I ate entirely too many of them.
